We know that non-profit organizations face competing pressures in today’s environment. A non-profit organization must meet all of the challenges that business enterprises handle daily, such as labour issues, cost concerns and litigation exposure. A non-profit organization’s decisions, however, are not simply a matter of the “bottom line;” rather, its activities must be guided by its unique mission and its special corporate and tax status.
